How to Tell if an OnlyFans Chatter Is Good (2026 Data)

The best sign that an OnlyFans chatter is good is whether they can reach the goal of the conversation, not how fast they type. That is the main finding of the OFM Jobs Chatter Screening Index for October 2026, drawn from more than 7,600 job applications where agencies required a live chat test.

Research facts
  • Index: OFM Jobs Chatter Screening Index, October 2026 edition
  • Research period: 22 Aug to 19 Oct 2026
  • Jobs covered: 395 jobs whose applicants took Chatter Screening
  • Job applications: 7,600+
  • Application pass rate: 22% (per job application)
  • Screening pass rate: about 15% (per graded screening)

The two pass rates use different bases. Applications are not unique people: one screening can count toward several applications, so the per-application rate (22%) is higher than the per-screening rate (about 15%).

Key findings

  1. Only 22% of applicants pass. Across more than 7,600 applications to jobs that required OFM Jobs Chatter Screening (22 Aug to 19 Oct 2026), 22% of applicants passed.
  2. Reaching the objective is the biggest difference. Chatters who pass score 2.2 times higher on achieving the chat's objective than chatters who don't (86 vs 39 out of 100).
  3. Sales skill comes next. Passing chatters score 1.7 times higher on chat and sexting craft (66 vs 39 out of 100).
  4. English level predicts passing. 38% of chatters with advanced (C1) English pass, compared with 23% at upper-intermediate (B2) and 6% at intermediate (B1). No chatter below B1 passed.
  5. Speed is not what separates good chatters. Passing and failing chatters reply equally fast (75 vs 74 out of 100 on response speed).
  6. Country is not a shortcut. Pass rates are almost identical across the three largest chatter markets: Kenya 15%, Nigeria 15% and the Philippines 14% of screenings.

Summary

Most OnlyFans chatter applicants cannot yet run a paying conversation on their own. Only about 1 in 5 pass a live chat test, and the gap between those who pass and those who don't is skill at moving a fan toward a goal, not speed or location.

For agencies, this means a CV, a typing test or a country filter will not tell you who can sell. A live chat test against a realistic fan will. OFM Jobs has handled more than 3.3 million job applications, and this index reports what its chatter screening shows each week.

What is Chatter Screening?

OFM Jobs Chatter Screening is a live chat test in which a chatter talks to an AI fan for about 20 minutes, while staying in a creator's persona and working toward a set objective: chatting with a subscriber, building rapport and converting them into a paying fan, for example by selling a piece of paid content, earning a tip or securing a renewal. The chat is then scored out of 100 against a fixed rubric.

CriterionWhat it measuresWeight in the score

An applicant passes when their score reaches the agency's pass mark, which is 70 out of 100 unless the agency sets its own.

Findings

Only about 1 in 5 applicants pass

In 22% of applications to jobs requiring Chatter Screening, the applicant passed. High scores are rare: fewer than 1 in 25 graded screenings scored 80 or more out of 100, so a pass marks a chatter who is already ahead of most of the market.

CriterionPassedDidn't pass
Objective achieved8639
Chat & sexting craft6639
Stayed in creator persona8673
Typing speed6250
English level7466
Response speed7574

The biggest gaps are in reaching the objective and in sales craft. Staying in persona, typing and English show smaller gaps, and response speed shows almost none.

English level

The higher a chatter's English level, the more likely they are to pass.

English level (CEFR)Screenings that passed
C1 (advanced)38%
B2 (upper-intermediate)23%
B1 (intermediate)6%
A2 and below0%

Speed

Passing chatters reply no faster than chatters who fail: 75 vs 74 out of 100 on response speed. They do type faster on average (62 vs 50), but neither speed measure counts toward the score, and speed alone does not make a chatter good.

Country

The three largest chatter markets on OFM Jobs perform almost identically: 15% of screenings passed in Kenya, 15% in Nigeria and 14% in the Philippines. Agencies get better results by testing each chatter than by filtering on country.

How to tell if an OnlyFans chatter is good: a checklist

Based on the findings above, these are the signs that best separate good chatters from the rest, in order of importance.

  1. They reach the goal of the conversation. A good chatter moves the fan toward a purchase or the next step without being pushy. This is the largest gap between chatters who pass and those who don't.
  2. They sell with craft. Look for rapport, teasing, and handling a fan who hesitates over the price, not one-line replies.
  3. They stay in character. Good chatters sound like the creator from the first message to the last.
  4. Their English is at least upper-intermediate (B2). Very few chatters at intermediate (B1) level pass, and none below it.
  5. Don't hire on speed alone. Fast replies and high typing speed are common among chatters who fail too.
  6. Don't hire on country alone. Pass rates are almost the same across the biggest chatter markets, so test the individual.

The most reliable way to check all six at once is a live chat test before the chatter touches a real account. On OFM Jobs, agencies can require Chatter Screening on any job, and every applicant takes the same test.

Methodology

The figures come from OFM Jobs platform data for 22 August to 19 October 2026, the period since the current version of Chatter Screening went live. All results are aggregates; no individual chatter or agency can be identified.

  • Headline pass rate (22%): measured per job application. It covers every application to a job that required Chatter Screening where the applicant had a graded screening, more than 7,600 applications across 395 jobs. One screening can count toward several applications.
  • Breakdowns (criteria, English level, country): measured per graded screening, comparing screenings that passed with those that didn't. Pass rates per screening are lower than per application (about 15% overall), because one screening can count toward several applications.
  • Countries come from the chatter's profile and are shown only where there were at least 100 screenings. English levels are shown only where there were at least 30.
  • Scores come from OFM Jobs' automated grader, with each criterion scored out of 100 and weighted as shown above. A criterion the grader could not assess is left out rather than counted as zero.

Limitations. Chatters apply to OFM Jobs by choice, so they may not represent every chatter in the industry. Pass marks vary when agencies set their own. The grader is automated and reviewed by OFM Jobs; scores may be recalculated as it improves, and this page notes any change.

Updates. This index is refreshed every week with the same tables. Past editions stay available on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you tell if an OnlyFans chatter is good?

Test whether they can guide a live conversation toward a set objective while building rapport, staying in the creator's persona and handling objections. In the OFM Jobs Chatter Screening Index (October 2026), passing screenings scored 86 out of 100 on achieving the objective, against 39 for screenings that failed. These figures come from OFM Jobs screening data for 22 August to 19 October 2026.

What percentage of OnlyFans chatter applicants pass a live chat test?

In the OFM Jobs Chatter Screening Index, 22% of job applications requiring Chatter Screening passed between 22 August and 19 October 2026. This is measured per job application, across more than 7,600 applications to 395 jobs. Measured per graded screening, the pass rate was about 15%; the two differ because one screening can count toward several applications.

Does typing speed matter when hiring an OnlyFans chatter?

Typing speed alone does not identify a good chatter. In OFM Jobs screening data from August to October 2026, passing screenings scored 75 out of 100 on response speed, against 74 for failing ones. Passing screenings scored higher on typing speed (62 vs 50), but neither speed measure counts toward the screening score.

What English level does an OnlyFans chatter need?

Upper-intermediate (B2) English is the practical minimum. In the OFM Jobs Chatter Screening Index (August to October 2026), 38% of screenings at C1 level passed and 23% at B2, against 6% at B1 and none below B1. English level is rated on the CEFR scale by OFM Jobs' automated grader.

Which country has the best OnlyFans chatters?

No single country stands out. In OFM Jobs screening data from August to October 2026, pass rates per screening were 15% in Kenya, 15% in Nigeria and 14% in the Philippines, the three largest chatter markets on the platform. Testing each chatter individually is more reliable than filtering by country.

How long does an OnlyFans chatter test take?

An OFM Jobs Chatter Screening takes about 20 minutes. The chatter holds a live conversation with an AI fan while staying in a creator's persona, and the chat is then scored out of 100.
